Zoo Madness!

Today, we made our big trip downtown to the Houston Zoo. It was a mad house! Every year we do the same thing, go to the zoo on one of the busiest days of the year. Note to self - do not do this next year - LOL! Hopefully, that will not be a problem b/c we purchased the family membership today and can go anytime and anyday; therefore, not leaving us to be tempted to go during the busiest times. We can only stay for an hour or two and feel like we aren't wasting the admission price. Plus, they let you take cooler and food in the park (rare these days - I was surprised), so we can picnic and not blow money on the junk food there. Today I paid $5.25 for a small amount of fries and two (yes, 2) chicken tenders - rip off!

These shots are a few of my favorites. You can see all the fun here on Snapfish.

First stop - the carousel. I figured putting this shot up would make Sher laugh b/c she was so proud to catch me making a face at her!

Here we are in the Children's Zoo area. I had just got done successfully nursing and feeding Loco fruit and squash in public (Aunt S was his "high chair" and we remained pretty clean) - a difficult task to complete with that many distractions!

Loco had a great time watching everything in the Snugli. Here Loo is trying to kiss him all over with her cold, blue lips from a huge popsicle.

Aaaahhhh . . . time for a nap! How can that be comfortable?

Loo made it really hard for me to give her a piggy back ride b/c she pushed all my hair over my eyes!

Looks like you guys had a great time. Wish it was that warm and sunny here!

What was Loo's favorite animal?

Yes, Zoo Memberships are the only way to go when you have little ones!!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our annual zoo membership here in Austin, but it makes me miss the days before the kids started school! No longer can we go on a random morning and miss the crowds. ;o)
